Louise LeBourgeois is a painter, writer, and lifelong swimmer. She lives in Chicago less than half a mile from Lake Michigan. LeBourgeois has an MFA in Painting from Northwestern and an MFA in Nonfiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago. She has exhibited her paintings in galleries throughout the United States, and in Italy, Japan, and the Netherlands. She is a recipient of an Artadia grant and an Illinois Arts Council grant, was awarded residencies at the BAU Institute in Otranto, Italy and at the Ragdale Foundation, and was awarded a public commission from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs.
