  Marguerite Alley (she/they) is a writer and translator from Durham, North Carolina whose fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Ninth Letter, Witness, The Normal School, Nimrod, and elsewhere. She is the winner of the 2023 Raymond Carver Short Story Contest and has been awarded scholarships from the New York State Summer Writers Institute and the Bread Loaf Translators’ Conference. They live in Bilbao, Spain and are at work on a novel.
