Patrick Rosal is author of The Last Thing: New and Selected Poems, listed among The Boston Globe’s best books of the year and winner of the William Carlos Williams Award. His interests span several disciplines, conducting interviews internationally about water, coordinating community arts gatherings, and leading experimental collaborations. He has appeared at hundreds of venues across four continents, including Lincoln Center, La Residencia de Estudiantes, and historic Filipino Community Hall in Delano. He has been a Fellow of the Guggenheim Foundation, NEA, and NJSCA. He is Campus Director of ISGRJ at Rutgers University-Camden, where he is also a Distinguished Professor.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
