Sejal H. Patel is a San Francisco-based criminal defense attorney and writer. Her essays have appeared in Creative Nonfiction, Harvard Divinity Bulletin, and various legal publications. A graduate of Northwestern Law School and Harvard Divinity School, she writes about the intersection of law and ethics in essays, her blog, and her book, entitled Seven Almonds. She also loves working with young jurors-to-be as a volunteer teacher at 826 Valencia, a board member of TAKE 5 Foundation, and a writer for the Religious Literacy Project at Harvard Divinity School, a venture dedicated to promoting the public understanding of religion in schools. She adores her family and friends, who fill her life with never-ending wonder.
