Yasmeen Khan is a high school sophomore living in Spring, Texas. Her work has been recognized by The National YoungArts Foundation, The Adroit Prizes, and The Alliance For Young Artists and Writers, among others. She was a 2019 Best of the Net nominee and has been published or is forthcoming in The Adroit Journal, Peach Mag, Sooth Swarm Journal, L'Éphémère Review, and more. When not writing, she enjoys eating mangoes and watching the rain.

The Rumpus publishes original fiction, poetry, literary humor writing, comics, essays, book reviews, and interviews with authors and artists of all kinds. Our mostly volunteer-run magazine strives to be a platform for risk-taking voices and writing that might not find a home elsewhere. We lift up new voices alongside those of more established writers our readers may already know and love. We want to bring new perspectives into the conversation that will make us all look deeper.
