The following is a short list of literary LA happenings:

Saturday 1/5: Dave Ross and Jake Weissman host Two-Headed Beast, a story-telling show. I’ve seen great comedians participate. Two of which were Kyle Kinane and Maria Bamford. Free. Stories. 8 p.m.

Sunday 1/6: Story-time! Bring your kids, bring their friends, bring the neighbor’s kids, for classic and contemporary children’s books read by Jessica Jill Turner & Friends. Free. The Pop-Hop. Noon.

Thursday 1/10: A Bizarro Fiction Spectacular! With authors: Kristin Alene, Amelia Gray, Ben Loory, Cameron Pierce, and Eric Raymond. Free. Stories. 7 p.m.

Always: Start the year off right by becoming an 826LA volunteer! Volunteering at 826LA is one of the best ways to spend your time. Recently, 826LA opened up a brand new location with a beautiful store. In addition, Forbes Magazine highlighted 826LA’s Marisa Urrutia Gedney. Congrats to 826LA!
