Mari, this is so, so beautiful and haunting and strange and lovely! The pacing is amazing – and the way the images move as you scroll down the page, the simplicity, everything. I’m going to be thinking about this comic all day/week/probably for a long long time. Anyways, masterful and amazing.
This is haunting! So much tension. I want to know she made it home ok, but I like the cliff-hanger ending. Must have felt like forever waiting to hear from her! Oofta. I hope she made it home ok.
It’s so interesting how we question our intuition sometimes. You were getting bad vibes but the fact that your friend didn’t seem to pick up on it made you question yourself enough to leave her there. Then again, you couldn’t MAKE her come with you…Oh god, I hope nothing bad came of this.
This was so suspenseful that I actually screamed in frustration at the end! I want to know if your friend was okay. Your work is awesome as usual, and I enjoyed reading this (even in my frustration).
