The Filter interview also begins to explain how the music plays into Anderson’s larger vision for each film. If only it told us what musical gems we had to look forward to in his upcoming project.

Related Posts:

No related posts…

In an essay from the Times Literary Supplement, PD Smith examines how architecture and construction reflect and perpetuate political climates. The historical essay offers provocative patterns to consider in relation to the current trends of foreclosure and interruption construction projects while considering several important books on the topic. If the twentieth century was defined by its politically-erected cities, how will the twenty-first be molded by the bank-owned properties and vacant construction scaffoldings?

Related Posts:

No related posts…

Tesco accuses Guardian of two counts of libel and two counts of malicious falsehood. This legal entanglement functions as a parable of the challenges newspapers face–challenges even more acute given their new liquidity problems. The costs of the most thorough journalism may further imperil the news organizations themselves.

Related Posts:

No related posts…

However, the gender of this author was not the only circulating misconception. Geneva Stratton-Porter “was a plump, bossy woman of enormous energy and enterprise.” Though some may think of her as a champion of the environment and nature, she is in fact far more like John Calvin than John Muir. As Malcolm’s survey of Stratton-Porter’s fiction reveals, this authoress was a champion of the Protestant work ethic and a staunch proponent of female propiety. Stratton-Porter’s work varied in quality, but her work is united by her uniquely capitalistic view of the formerly bucolic America.

Related Posts:

No related posts…
