A same-sex hand holding relay was held in London as part of a three-day celebration that kicked off the countdown to the 2012 Olympic Games.
Same-sex hand holding, or “sshh,” is used to promote “visibility for same-sex couples and quietly fight homophobia.” The relay, which was organized by A Day In Hand, featured 24 same-sex partners holding hands along “11 different routes crisscrossing the capital.”
A Day In Hand encourages people all over the globe to “share your same-sex hand holding (sshh) pics/stories and help your city become a sshh hotspot.”
If you want to show support but happen to be straight, fear not. Simply find a same-sex buddy and take the Elvis Challenge.
