In his post “The Limits of Narrative” Mark Pritchard links to Alison Flood’s recent article “How I learned to cheat at reading” in which she writes “It was the Choose Your Own Adventure books that led me astray.” Flood admitted that as a child she would “flick ahead to see if my choice led to the treasure in the cave or a horrible death, escape from the dungeon or a watery doom.”
While there aren’t an dungeons or watery doom, perhaps Alison would enjoy playing I Am Having A Nice Time, an online Choose Your Own Adventure style game created by Chris Killen, author of The Bird Room.
