Scott James, who writes under the pen name Kemble Scott, has a new book out: The Sower.
Scott originally self-published The Sower on Scribd, an online “social publishing” site that hopes to democratize the bookselling industry. But after gaining popularity on the site his book caught the attention of Numina Press, “which used print-on-demand technology to get the book into stores in just 29 days.” Now The Sower isn’t just popular on Scribd, it recently “hit the San Francisco Chronicle’s fiction bestseller list.”
