It’s Sunday, so as always, the Rumpus has links to political stories that aim to do more than make you angry at people you already disagree with.

At Guernica, “Where do architectural wonders, coat hanger abortions, virtual slave labor, and a modern underground railroad meet?”

Recessions might make us live longer.

Sexual abuse in juvy — “A full 80 percent of the abuse reported in the study was perpetrated not by other inmates but by staff. And shockingly, 95 percent of the youth making such allegations said they were victimized by female staff.” (via)

I hadn’t heard anything from Camille Paglia lately, so I found this old interview (this one too), and then I had my fix.
