As my tweet about it earlier suggested, I’m excited about the iPad, and I even like the name because to me it’s a Star Trek shoutout, and when you’re nerdcore like me, you appreciate any love thrown your way, even if it opens you up to menstruation jokes. Trust me–we’re great at taking abuse, both physical and emotional. iPad jokes won’t even touch us.
Seriously, though, I’d bet the people at Amazon are debating how low they have to cut the price of a Kindle in order to keep selling it now that Apple has an entry level iPad at only ten bucks more than the top-of-the-line Kindle, complete with 4 times the memory and all the other bells and whistles.
I am equally excited about the iTampon. Apple has a hit, but their name needs a bit of revision.
Ha!
