Karin Slaughter has concerns about how e-books will affect the future of reading. I tend to think that e-books will democratize reading rather than make it the purview of the elite, but Slaughter does raise some points worth thinking about.
Here are the finalists for The Diagram prize for oddest book title. I have to go with “The Changing World of Inflammatory Bowel Disease” as the early favorite. Like that’s a surprise.

We’re in the process of putting together our Rumpus Original Poems for National Poetry Month. It’s early going, but I’m really proud of the group of poems we’ve already received.
