“Like a Criminal Rain Man”

Wired has published a fascinating article by Rumpus contributor Joshuah Bearman, “Art of the Steal: On the Trail of World’s Most Ingenious Thief.”

The piece follows Gerald Blanchard, a scrawny criminal mastermind who starts young (pulled his first job when he was six and paid for a house using dirty money before he finished high school) and never looks back. Want more? The story includes incredible tech savvy, daring heists (one which involves jumping out of an airplane), and two stubborn small town cops trying to crack the case.
