A scientific study from 1996 shows that out of a group made up of 35 “homophobic men” and 29 “nonhomophobic men” (“they were assigned to groups on the basis of their scores on the Index of Homophobia”) who were shown sexually explicit videos, only the homophobic participants were aroused when viewing homoerotic stimuli.
