The Grey Lady Drops “Tweet”

“Except for special effect, we try to avoid colloquialisms, neologisms and jargon. And ‘tweet’ — as a noun or a verb, referring to messages on Twitter — is all three.”

The New York Times has banned the word “tweet.”
