Jakub Ziolkowski: Timothy Galoti & the Dead Brains. Hauser & Wirth unveils the first American solo exhibition of Ziolkowski’s work. The artist’s paintings were last seen at the New Museum’s 2009 show “Younger than Jesus.” Hauser & Wirth. 32 E. 69th.
WEDNESDAY 7/7: Word for Word. Start out early and join in on Jennifer Egan (The Keep) and Jane Mendelsohn’s discussion on life and music while they promote their latest novels. Bryant Park Reading Room. 12:30PM.

ART: Leon Golub: Live & Die Like a Lion? The Drawing Center presents the artist’s first museum exhibit. After passing away in 2004, Golub left behind numerous unfinished works that speak for themselves. His expression through painting is something not to be missed.
