Isaac, I see that you mentioned that THe Instructions is being released tomorrow. However, Thursday is the 23rd, not the 24th of the month. Do you know which day it will be sent?
I’m just curious so I can bring it to the Hebrew school I work at (is starts this Sunday), so I can wave it around if our students get naughty.
Thanks for pointing that out Felisa, I’ve fixed the date. We’re shipping it tomorrow, the 23rd, but it will take a week (or even two in some cases) to reach book club members. The book won’t hit store shelves for another month.

I’ve learned Quimbys, a Chicago bookstore, has had “The Instructions” in stock since last Tuesday. What happened to The Rumpus book club members being the first to receive it?
What happened was McSweeney’s sent the book to bookstores extremely early.
For shame McSweeneys! I found out during workshop with Adam Tuesday, and my friend said Borders has the blue edition. I want it now, but I’ll wait.
Good call! Turns out they are hapless bystanders. The stink/fish-eye should have been going at the USPS guy the whole time! I hope it arrives today!!
