Update: I’m moving this to the top so we can get some more nominations in the comments. We’ll need to make some final choices in the very near future, so if you have an opinion, now’s the time to express it.
Okay readers, we’d like your help with something. We need to nominate three pieces for The Best of the Web 2011. We qualify in two of the three categories, non-fiction and poetry. We could just choose these ourselves, but we’re believers in the power of crowd-sourcing, so we’d like you to help us. What are the best pieces we’ve published since November 1, 2009?
Leave your nominations in the comments stream with a link. We’ll run a number of these blog posts, collate the nominations, and then come up with some way to make a final decision on our nominations. (We’re in the early planning stages here–please bear with us.)
Feel free to make multiple suggestions as well, though don’t go too crazy. Too many links will cause the spam filter to freak out. And if your comment doesn’t post immediately, don’t post multiple times. Just send an email to poetry-at-therumpus-dot-net. I’m the editor on duty today and I’ll see if I can figure out what happened to your post.
Go to it!
