It’s upon us. We can talk about how much we hate Valentine’s day and how it’s a manufactured-greeting-card-capitalist holiday until we’re red in the face. Or we can use this holiday to our advantage and parlay the red hearts and chocolates into getting laid.
Flavorpill has “30 Literary Quotes That Just Might Get You Laid,” and they cover all types of situations, such as being the last man in a bar or after you’ve met your first baby dyke.
I’ll add one more to the list. And whoever uses it has to thank me if it works. Since I’m partial to poetry, I’m going to quote the end of the poem “Track 1: Lush Life” from Jericho Brown’s book Please: it’s raw, sexy, and straight to the point.
“Speak to me in a lover’s tongue— / Call me your bitch, and I’ll sing the whole night long.”
Enjoy your Valentine’s Day.
