Bill Lasarow, publisher and co-editor of ArtScene, explains his motivation for starting a writers’ strike against the Huffington Post (which we reported on last week).
In addition to his discomfort that the work of 9,000 unpaid contributors has helped the company make over $300 million, Lasarow says the website fails to distinguish between “serious journalism” and “opinion and a press release.”
