There’s talk of a general strike and I’m guessing the recall effort just got a huge burst in excitement as well as funding. What happened? The Wisconsin Senate just passed the anti-union bill it had been trying to pass for weeks now. I’m not a lawyer, so I can’t claim to understand just how a bill that is supposed to save the state money isn’t considered a fiscal bill, but that’s the claim. I suspect this will play out both in the courts and in the ballot box over the next few months.

Thanks, I’m surprised there’s not more on the Internet about this. This union-busting has nothing to do with fiscal issues. It’s a coordinated effort (it’s happening in many states) by corporations to destroy one of the last shelters of resistance to their power: the unions.
