Author Erin McHugh and celebrated journalist Linda Villarosa will celebrate Pride Week at powerHouse Arena with a reading from McHugh’s book The L Life: Extraordinary Lesbians Making a Difference. She and Villarosa will discuss their experiences within the LGBT movement and their hopes for the future. Villarosa is one of 27 women featured in the book. 7 p.m. Free.
FRIDAY 6/24: 92Y Tribeca presents “Meet the Lady: Working Girls,” featuring film clips, live performances, comedy, and interviews with working women from all walks of life. Hosted by Tom Blunt with guests Kenley Collins, Project Runway finalist and Judy Blunt, author of the memoir Breaking Clean. 8 p.m. $12.
SATURDAY 6/25: Brooklyn! Go get some food, culture, and rap with your neighbors at Fort Greene Festival, featuring a performance by Mos Def, hosted by actress Rosie Perez.
