I’ve begun the task of getting actual winter clothes for the first time in my life. It’s funny to watch, I imagine. I walk into a store and don’t even recognize what some of these things are. Pity me.
The Occupy Wall Street protests are gaining some momentum, thanks to support from unions. More importantly, this support is getting the focus back on the issue of economic justice, rather than on police brutality.
MIlitary chaplains now have permission to conduct same-sex marriages on or off military property, as long as it’s permitted by local law. However, that doesn’t mean that military personnel in same-sex marriages will be given the same benefits that opposite-sex married couples currently receive.
If there’s a whinier group of males on this planet, I don’t know where they are.

Way back when I was a bartender, I kept a tee-ball bat behind the counter in case things got out of hand and the bouncer didn’t see what was going on. But I wouldn’t tend bar in Ohio now, no matter how good the money or the security.
