I’d like to take a moment to thank everyone who commented on or liked or otherwise communicated their appreciation for “The Spirit of Violent Lamentation.” I’m glad it touched people in a positive way. Also, it was a complete coincidence that Roxane Gay’s piece on the language of sexual violence went up around the same time. We didn’t know the other was working on a piece about the story. Sometimes this stuff just works out.
I didn’t rant in my piece, but if I had, I hope it would have been this good. Mine would have had f-bombs in it, for sure.
