The AWP Convention starts this coming Wednesday, and The Rumpus will be there. Thursday night we’ll be raising money for 826 Chicago, which is an awesome youth literacy program and which is home to The Boring Store, which is definitely not a secret agent supply store. Not at all. But if someone wants to hook me up with a Quick Disguise Stick or a Tea Sub, you know, you might be able to find something there.
We’ll also have a table covered with swag at the Book Fair. Drop by and you’ll likely see a really amped up Isaac Fitzgerald begging someone to “check out our sweet mugs” among other things. And I’ll be there a lot too, demonstrating this:
Say hello to The Rumpus Original Poetry Anthology, a multimedia e-book collection of most of the poetry we’ve run over the last three years. It has poems from 100 poets, and a number of the poets included audio and video to accompany the written word. It will be available for download from the Apple iBookstore for $9.99. We’ll have information on how to do that at the table. The book was designed by Amy Letter and the cover image comes from the artist Dolores Coe.
So come by and see us. It’s going to be nuts.
