Tuesday 4/17: Rough Readings presents Playwrights, Booze and Cookies, a series dedicated to “developmental readings that give playwrights the opportunity to hear first drafts and fine-tune finished works.” Free, 7pm, Thick House.

Wednesday 4/18: Nancy Cohen reads from Delirium: How the Sexual Counterrevolution is Polarizing America. Free, 7pm. Modern Times.

Thursday 4/19: Modern Times hosts a cast of longtime San Francisco literary mainstays with 40 YEARS of Radical Writing, Rabble Rousers, and Romancing Your Brain at El Rio. Free, 6-9pm.

Friday 4/20: Lawrence Powell, history professor and director of the New Orleans Center for the Gulf South at Tulane University, reads from The Accidental City, a revealing history of the founding and flourishing of New Orleans. Free, 7pm Green Arcade.

Saturday 4/21: The San Francisco Center for the Book hosts free Earth Day book binding classes. Also, Goat festival at the ferry building!! Cherry Blossom Festival all day in Japantown.
