PBS is teaming up with Symphony of Science to remix old PBS classics.
Devoted fans of the television network will recognize the distinctive head of hair on the star of their latest song – it’s a tribute to the late painter and host of “The Joy of Painting,” Bob Ross. The video is three minutes and twenty-three seconds of gentle sounds and ‘happy little clouds, and happy little trees.’

I just teared up a little bit. He was a bigger part of my childhood than Mister Rogers and Sesame Street combined. My nicest brushes and palate knives are still the ones I got in the Bob Ross art set for Christmas one year before I knew what art was. His paintings may not have been great art, but his fundamentals were and his outlook on life was unmatched.
