THURSDAY 8/2:
The Poetry Society of America presents Liu Xiaobo’s June Fourth Elegies, with a reading by the translator, Jeffrey Yang, and a discussion of Liu’s poems with Yang and Larry Siems. The Museum of Chinese in America, 6:30pm, free.
SATURDAY 8/4:
Elizabeth Nunez discusses Boundaries at the Brooklyn Museum as part of its First Saturdays programming. 9pm (although there’s lots of music and dancing from 5pm on), free.
