The Violet Flowers Motel is located in Brantford, Ontario, and is considered by some to be home to drug dealing and prostitution; to others, the motel is the site of violent murders; some think it a nice place, just off the highway, to get a night’s rest.
Hazlitt compiles reviews of the motel, capturing opinions from both the motel’s loyal customers and its detractors. From a review entitled “Wall Issues:”
“The room was fine, even though the towels were mismatched. It was cheap and close to the highway, but at around 3:00 in the morning the wall started to ooze a red substance. Front desk was of no help.”
