Holy crap, that was disturbing. I have called 911 one time only and it took me a good amount of time to “work up the nerve”. I was awoken around 2 am when some people started yelling outside of my window. I rolled over and waited for it to stop, but they just kept yelling louder and louder. When I finally looked out, I saw one guy laying in the street. I don’t know if he was drunk or what, but he wasn’t moving and the other people were just running around yelling, but not trying to help him. When I finally called 911, the operator told me she’d already received several calls from neighbors and that the police were on their way. And I wondered why it had taken me so long to pick up the phone when clearly my neighbors hadn’t hesitated.
