Friday 11/24: Cafe du Nord hosts its 17th anual Turkey Trot, the Americana Music Fest. Featuring “Grandma’s homemade recipes; Southern-fried country rock with a pinch of honky-tonk dipped in the 1970s, creamy indie-rock covered in old-school twang, and bad-ass hillbilly murder ballads.” $13, 8pm.
Saturday 11/24: The Mission branch donation center of the SF Public library holds $1 book sales every fourth today is that day. $1 for everything you see, with proceeds benefiting Friends of Sf Public Library, which holds reading programs for adults and children all year long.
