FRIDAY 11/30: Ron Currie, Jr. (Everything Matters!) talks to Darin Strauss as part of NYU Creative Writing Program’s reading series.
Pretty Conceptual: The opening party for the Pretty Conceptual pop up shop, including the first presentation of Emily Spivack’s Sentimental Value. 7pm, 29 Wythe Avenue, Brooklyn.
SUNDAY 12/2: This Sunday’s Sunday Sessions at MoMA’s PS1 is a benefit for victims of Hurrican Sandy, with multimedia performances by Oneohtrix Point Never, Holly Herndon, and Ducktails. 4pm to 7pm, $12.
KGB Bar hosts a tribute to Mavis Gallant with readings and talks by Deborah Eisenberg, Francine Prose, Binnie Kirschenbaum, and Lynne Tillman. 7pm, free.
