In light of all the talk on the NYT article on the lack of Latino characters in children’s literature, Gustavo Arellano has created a list of Mexican authored literature for his column ¡Ask A Mexican!
Arellano is a master satirist, and his column answers a vast variety of questions ranging from the most ignorant to the most political. In his list, he recommends Sam Quinones and cartoonist Lalo Alcaraz as well as an assortment of analytical and socially inquisitive texts.
