Writers and fans of horror, science fiction, self-help and other niche literature should be aware and wary of Amazon’s new royalty policies.
The Telegraph has the story on how the mega bookseller has decided to give self-published authors 70% of all sales if their book is priced between $2.99 and $9.99, and only 35% if their book is marked anything over $9.99.

Why is this just getting attention now? Is there something that has changed in the policy? Because KDP’s pricing and royalty options have been this way since at least Sept/Oct 2012, when I started publishing through them…
