Monday night the Poetry Project presents An Evening with Clark Coolidge featuring readings from Coolidge, Peter Gizzi, Marcella Durand, Miles Champion, Ron Padgett, Bill Corbett, Anne Waldman, John Godfrey, Geoffrey Young, and Thurston Moore. St. Mark’s Church, 8pm.
Jackie Clark (Aphoria), Adam Fitzgerald (The Late Parade), Nate Pritts (Right Now More Than Ever), and Jennifer H. Fortin (Mined Muzzle Velocity) will read at the KGB’s Monday Night Poetry Series. KGB Bar (Facebook invite), 7pm, free.

Tuesday 04/02:
Lemony Snicket presents a multimedia book launch event for his latest book The Dark, with illustrations by Jon Klassen. The author (really there!) will sign copies of The Dark after the event. PowerHouse Arena, 4:30pm, free (RSVP requested).
Wednesday 04/03:
Tonight Selected Shorts features a program of Langston Hughes’ Harlem stories. The night will feature actors reading the work of Hughes, including Sonia Manzano (Maria from Sesame Street), Colman Domingo (The Scottsboro Boys; Lincoln) and Daniel Breaker (Passing Strange; Shrek the Musical). Thursday 04/04:
The Conversations on Practice series welcomes Ben Marcus who will discuss his work and the writing life with author Glenn Kurtz. McNally Jackson, 7pm, free.

Friday 04/05:
Tonight is the first of two nights of tributes to the poet David Rattray on the 20th anniversary of his death. Private Line presents GODSPELL: THE BECKONING with readings from Brandon Downing (Mellow Actions), Dana Ward (The Crisis of Infinite Worlds), and Clark Coolidge (88 Sonnets and Book Beginning What and Ending Away).
