If you’re feeling a little queasy about Amazon’s buyout of Goodreads, Book Riot has compiled a list of alternative book-based social networks.
A few of them seem defunct, and one is actually also owned by Amazon, but some, especially the ones still in beta, look very promising.
Do you plan on quitting Goodreads, and if so, what site would you replace it with?

I’m quite invested in goodreads now. Hundreds of books, reviews etc… it’ll be hard to move all that over.
However, I am thinking I may start doubling things up on another site and slowly transferring? I like amazone less and less the more they do and now don’t even buy books from them if I can avoid it.
I was definitely disappointed by the Amazon-buying-Goodreads news but I don’t plan on quitting. It’s still by far the best book-based social network in my opinion and I wouldn’t want to switch to a beta.

I love Goodreads and think it’s a fantastic way to organize books and connect with fellow readers/writers. I personally don’t have any vendetta against Amazon, but these other alternative sites are definitely worth checking out in their own right.
