If you’re down south this April, please come and check out O, Miami, a month-long poetry festival that promises to deliver a poem to all 2.6 million+ residents of Miami-Dade County.
It’s an explosive event that is reinventing Miami as a literary arts destination. Its itinerary is packed with artists, poets, musicians and comedians. There will also be a book culminating the event called “That’s So Miami,” which showcases poems by the city’s residents.
The festival caters a blend of experimental poetry and first-time poets yet also features national prizewinners such as W.S. Merwin and Raúl Zurita. There is a new performance every day, so be sure to check out the calendar.
