For some writers, Twitter isn’t a newfangled distraction but rather an extension of the art they’ve been making all along.
Lydia Davis, whose stories often span only a few sentences, plans to give the microblogging platform a try as a new medium for her super-short fiction.
Her methods already sound sort of Twitterific. “I don’t pare down much,” she told the Guardian. “I write the beginning of a story in a notebook and it comes out very close to what it will be in the end. There is not much deliberateness about it.”
