Remember that scary Texas abortion bill we posted about yesterday? The one that would, among other woman-hating and unscientific measures, ban abortion 20 weeks after fertilization, without exceptions for rape victims because getting a rape kit done is apparently already an abortion?
Well, here are some things you can do to help, right from your laptop:
Submit a story about why you value reproductive rights to Senator Wendy Davis, so she can read it aloud as part of a filibuster effort tomorrow.
Tweet stories/support with the hashtag #sb5 (for Senate Bill 5). It looks like these may also be read as part of the filibuster.
Donate to The Lilith Fund or Planned Parenthood locations in Texas.
And if you’re in Texas, especially central Texas, you can join protesters at the Texas State Capitol around 9:00 AM today (!) to enter the Senate chambers at 10:00 AM until midnight (!!) to sit in support of Wendy Davis and other pro-choice politicians.

THANK YOU for posting about this. I’m a Texan who will be watching the Senate filibuster today on the edge of my seat. Pro-choice Texans have done an *amazing* job fighting this bill so far, but we need all the help we can get.
