Maud is an essayist, critic, blogger, and fiction writer whose work has appeared, well, pretty much everywhere, from the New York Times Book Review to Granta to The Awl. When she’s not too busy winning awards like City College’s 2004 Irwin and Alice Stark Short Fiction Prize and Narrative magazine’s 2009 Narrative Prize, she’s getting involved with nonprofits like Girls Write Now and Urban Librarians Unite.
Born in Texas and raised in Florida, Maud currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
