Monday 7/15: National Poetry Slam champion Dominique Ashaheed joins Bay Area poets for this summer’s Lit Slam, a competitive, audience-judged reading performance. $10, 8pm, Viracocha.

Tuesday 7/16: Granta celebrates the release of its 124th issue, Travel, with editor Ted Hodgkinson and Rebecca Solnit. Free, 7pm Green Apple Books.

Wednesday 7/17: Join award winning poets, fiction writers, comics, and musicians as they perform on the same stage to mix it up for an evening with Word Performances. 7:30 Viracocha

Thursday 7/18: More competitive reading, this time fiction with Shipwreck: Erotic Fanfiction for Literate Perverts, this time featuring six writers presenting fantasies inspired from The Hobbit. 7pm, $10, Booksmith.

Friday 7/19: Litquake presents Lit Tease, a sneak preview of this year’s Lit Crawl featuring Hyphen magazine, Zahra Noorbakhsh, Michelle Tea, and other Lit Crawl curators. $20, Swedish American Hall.
