Saturday 9/7: Write Large Press presents LAB●FEST in celebration of the grand opening of DT●LAB (an independent art, literature, music and creative space.) Readers include Sesshu Foster, Luis Javier Rodriguez, Rumpus contributor Wendy C. Ortiz and many more. Noon-11 p.m. at The Last Bookstore.

Sunday 9/8: Roar Shack presents Engine of Belief. Featuring readings by Anne Marie Kinney, Daniel Romo, Eric Howard, Mario Piumetti, and Ashley Perez (me).  Live music provided by Robert Morgan Fisher. 4 p.m. at 826LA.

Literary Communities of Los Angeles will feature L.A. based writers Sesshu Foster and Rumpus contributor Melissa Chadburn along with Antioch University students and their Los Angeles’ inspired poetry, fiction and nonfiction. 5 pm at Beyond Baroque. General admission $10.

Monday 9/9: Join Red Hen Press at the Annenberg Beach House for a night of poetry featuring Rex Wilder, Dana Gioia, and Jenny Factor. 6:30 pm.

 Tuesday 9/10: Dave Shelton discusses and signs Brain Explosion: A Collection of Thoughts, Verbiage, Assorted Quotables, and Profundities at Book Soup. 7 pm.

 Wednesday 9/11: Philip C. Stead & Erin Stead present and sign Hello, My Name is Ruby & If You Want to See a Whale at Vroman’s Bookstore. 10:30 am.

 Thursday 9/12: Anthony Ausgang presents The Pawnee Republican with live music by Cat Museum at Stories Books and Cafe. 7:30 pm.
