Social news site Reddit doesn’t have a reputation as the most literary place on the Internet, but its AMA (“Ask Me Anything”) subreddit can be a valuable way to connect authors and readers—sort of like a huge version of our Rumpus Book Club chats.
One writer who recently participated in an AMA (for the second time!) is Margaret Atwood, who discussed dystopias, sci-fi, and growing up among biologists.
Junot Díaz’s AMA is even more interesting, delving into the Dominican-American author’s thoughts on race, gender, and the fundamentals of writing.
Keep an eye on their Twitter for future Q&A sessions with writers whose brains you’d love to pick (as well as interesting people of all stripes).
