Beat-Era Collection Up for Auction in San Francisco

If you’re a fan of the Beats, you’ll want to check out the hundreds of books and other objects up for auction in San Francisco this Thursday.

Featured items include a copy of On the Road signed by Neal Cassady (“the model for the Dean Moriarty character”) and a first-edition hardcover copy of The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test autographed by its author Tom Wolfe and forty-five other ’60s counterculture luminaries.

Even if you have no plans to make a bid, the pictures are pretty nifty. (Via.)
