A Bizarro literary spectacular with Francesca Lia Block presenting The Elementals, Cody Goodfellow, Laura Lee Bahr, and John Skipp celebrating the release of Eraserhead Press’ new anthology In Heaven Everything is Fine: Fiction inspired by David Lynch and The Last Goddam Hollywood Movie. 7:30 p.m. at Stories Books and Cafe.

Sunday 10/20: The Great Beyond Open Reading and the 4th Annual Beyond Baroque Poetry Contest Reading offer a one-two punch of poetry for your Sunday enjoyment. The Great Beyond Open Reading is a chance for younger poets to read. Hosted by Jessica Ceballos. Sign-ups start at 1:45 p.m. and readings begin at 2:00 p.m. Then the 4th Annual Beyond Baroque Poetry Contest Reading features the winners and runners up for the poetry contest. 5:00 p.m. at Beyond Baroque. Both events are free, but donations are encouraged.


Xach Fromson is a native Angeleno and the co-host/co-founder of Shades & Shadows, a sci-fi/fantasy/horror/etc. reading series here in LA. He studied creative writing at California State University Northridge, where he worked on The Northridge Review. He received an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of California Riverside Palm Desert Low Residency program, and is finishing his first novel. He appeared at Dirty Laundry Lit's "Love Sucks" event in February 2013, and has stories published in "Halloween Tales" and "Winter Horror Days" from Omnium Gatherum press. And once, he slew a dragon.
