Every January, to mark the birth of iconic poet laureate and long-time Oregonian William Stafford, writers and literary groups gather to celebrate his life and work. For the monthly Studio Series poetry night, Oregon Poet Laureate Peter Sears will read a selection of Stafford’s work as well as his own. Audience members are invited to share their own favorite Stafford poem as well. As he composed nearly 22,000 pieces, there shouldn’t be too much crossover. Stonehenge Studios, 7 p.m., free.
