All “Funny Women” readers are enthusiastically invited to The Bell House (next to The Bell Jar, presumably) in Brooklyn tonight.
Reductress, “the first and only satirical women’s magazine,” is hosting The Brotherhood of Women, a night of standup courtesy of Janeane “Oh My God, It’s Janeane Garofalo” Garofalo, Sara Benincasa (author of Agorafabulous! Dispatches From My Bedroom), Naomi Ekperigin (of Broad City), and a panel of cultural tastemakers moderated by Reductress woman-editor Anna Drezen.
Lizz Winstead (The Daily Show, Lady Parts Justice), Anna Breslaw (Cosmopolitan), Tyler Coates (Decider), and our own “Funny Women” editor Elissa Bassist will thoughtfully discuss and thoughtlessly banter about feminism, winter, politics, eye color, technology, big spoon v. little spoon, important current events, and fashion DON’Ts (sort of like Bill Maher, but like, cuter).
