Thursday 4/2: Mrs. Dalloway’s Bookstore in Oakland hosts a Sixteen Rivers Press launch celebration featuring Stella Beratlis, Lisa Erin Robertson, and Helen Wickes, each of whom have recently released collections of new work. Free, 7:30 p.m., Mrs. Dalloway’s Bookstore.

This week’s theatre recommendation is “Antigonick” by Anne Carson, at Shotgun Players in Berkeley. Following immediately upon Cutting Ball’s more classical production of “Antigone”, this adaptation with its meta references to 20th century theatre and the incorporation of some striking choreography offers another window on Sophocles’s ancient masterpiece.
